چکیده
Spatial soil sampling is an integral part of a survey aimed at describing spatial variability in properties. We propose considering the procedure as task optimal design. In practical terms, experiments can reduce experimentation costs, they allow researcher to obtain one set points. present design, based on fundamental idea selecting sample locations with most significant dissimilarities. The proposed design founded upon method called maxvol algorithm. tested three real cases differing field data availability and compared popular schemes — simple random sampling, conditional Latin Hypercube, Kennard-Stone stratified complex geographical strata. It shown that maxvol-base algorithm has high potential for usage. Our outperforms methods taxa prediction topographical features site. be especially beneficial application because it produce high-quality scheme very few

PERFORMANCE BASED OPTIMAL SEISMIC DESIGN OF RC SHEAR WALLS INCORPORATING SOIL–STRUCTURE INTERACTION USING CSS ALGORITHM
In this article optimal design of shear walls is performed under seismic loading. For practical aims, a database of special shear walls is created. Special shear walls are used for seismic design optimization employing the charged system search algorithm as an optimizer. Constraints consist of design and performance limitations. Nonlinear behavior of the shear wall is taken into account and per...
متن کاملA Fast Optimal Sampling-based Motion Planning Algorithm based on the Poisson-Disk Sampling Distribution
Sampling-based motion planning algorithms have been proven to work well with difficult planning tasks in a variety of problems. Recently, asymptotic optimal algorithms have been proposed to overcome the non-optimality inefficiency of these planners but with extra computational costs associated with the additional processing requirements. In this paper, new extensions of optimal sampling-based m...
متن کاملDetermination of Optimal Sampling Design for Spatial Data Analysis
Extended Abstract. Inferences for spatial data are affected substantially by the spatial configuration of the network of sites where measurements are taken. Consider the following standard data-model framework for spatial data. Suppose a continuous, spatially-varying quantity, Z, is to be observed at a predetermined number, n, of points ....[ To Countinue Click here]
متن کاملConsidering the Soil Effects on Design Process of Performance-Based Plastic Design for Reinforced Concrete Structures
In this research, Performance-Based Plastic Design (PBPD) method has been modified according to the proposed method for considering Soil–Structure Interaction (SSI) effects. In the proposed modified method, based on the existing relationships and in order to maintain the simplicity of the PBPD design method, two important parameters have been modified in the PBPD design method. These two parame...
متن کاملOptimal Plant Layout Design based on MASS Algorithm
In this paper we have proposed a semiheuristic optimization algorithm for designing optimal plant layouts in process-focused manufacturing/service facilities. Our proposed algorithm marries the wellknown CRAFT (Computerized Relative Allocation of Facilities Technique) with the Hungarian assignment algorithm. Being a semi-heuristic search, our algorithm is likely to be more efficient in terms of...
